Latest LEGO Games - Lord of the Rings, Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and Avengers?

It has been out for a while, LEGO are creating new games to be released this year.We are hoping they will be as big as the LEGO Star Wars games, and they may well be. Lets start with LEGO Batman 2.

The highly anticipated sequel to  "The best selling LEGO game of all time", which has sold more than 11 million units to date,  has heroes such as Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman coming to save Gotham City. It will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii,  Windows PC, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. The game complements the brand of LEGO DC Heroes sets that were recently released. The Dynamic Duo will be joining many DC Heroes such as Wonder Woman, Superman and Green Lantern to save Gotham City from the destruction of villains Lex Luthor and The Joker, but also villains such as Bane, Catwoman and more. Batman fans will enjoy the game with a LEGO twist and humor .

Tom Stone, managing director at TT Games said: LEGO® Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes builds upon the action and cooperative gameplay experience established in our best-selling LEGO video game to date, LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame We’re offering fans a rich and expansive Gotham City environment filled with cool characters, great customization options and plenty of surprises that families, young gamers and DC Universe fans can enjoy together.”

LEGO® Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes further extends and combines both the Batman and LEGO videogame experiences to create very fun gameplay,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Fans of all ages are going to enjoy the action and light hearted humor that TT Games and LEGO provide.”

Players will be able to explore the whole of Gotham City, as well as all new areas, in a variety of vehicles such as the Batmobile and Batwing. They will be able to fight for justice using all new gadgets and suits such as Batman's Power Suit and using all new abilities such as flight, super-breath and heat vision.
It will be released on 22nd June.

Here is the Open World Trailer which I think is the best trailer for the game, although it doesn't show as much action as the second trailer.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings

So far, I cannot find much information on the game, since only the teaser trailer has been released. It shall be released on the same platforms as LEGO Batman 2, Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS, Nintendo Wii, PC and PS Vita.

Take a look at the trailer:
The game should be released some time this year, in autumn.

One new thing that these two games have in common is that they actually have proper voice actors, speaking, rather than just the mumbles we are used to. This will be really could, considering Batman 2 is a story line people haven't seen, and with LotR, people like me, who haven't actually read the books or seen the films, will get  to know what the stories are like.

One thing I would have liked to see, with both games, is open world, yes, I know Batman 2 is open world in that you have all of Gotham City, but it has not been confirmed with The Lord of the Rings.
One thing I would like to see with the next LEGO games, is that you have to actually travel to the location of the quest or level. This may be happening with Batman 2, and possibly with LotR, but it is not confirmed. Kind of like Skyrim, and other games, you have to travel to the location, or have the ability to 'fast travel' where you can teleport to the location.
I was going to say something else, but I can't seem to remember what is was, so watch this space for it!
LEGO Avengers Video Game?
With the release of the Marvel LEGO sets, Avengers and X-Men, LEGO may be planning an Avengers or X-Men video game, but nothing has been said about it, it is just a theory.
